Colorado Mountain Media FAQ’s

Colorado Mountain Media’s 7 Questions answered:

How would you solve our problems?

First off all websites are reviewed individually with free consultation.  We will review your current site or what
your goals are for your website.  What is it you want from your website?  If you have a site, we will ask you What is it with your current site you like and dislike?  We also will ask you who are you trying to reach with your website?  Finally, we will ask and review sites you like.  Oftentimes we will make suggestions such as no music should play as you enter a site, allow your visitors to make that choice.

Who’s doing the technical work?

At this time we are a team of four freelancers who have come together to assist one another in producing top quality web productions.

Depending upon your website or graphic need depends on who will work on your project.  All of our team members have worked within the design/development industry for a number of years and have kept up to the latest in technology.  All are Colorado residents.

What About Content?

Content is the most important part of your site.  This is key. You should have an idea of what you want your website to say about your company.  This is the part of branding that is very important to consider.  Your logo, your motto/tagline, how many pages you need, as well as who is your audience.  CONTENT IS KEY.  No worries! We will sit with you and together we will develop your website plan.

Working along with you we first will address the information architecture of your website.  (Information Architecture: The art and science of organizing and labeling web sites, intranets, online communities, and software to support findability and usability = WikiPedia).

It is our belief that no matter how beautiful a site is it is useless if you are not effectively communicating content. Content IS KEY.

After we have addressed content issues we will look at sites you like, your logo, and colors to develop a direction for your design.

What about the users?

You want to keep people on your site, you want returned visits, and you want new visits.  Our webstats keep track of all these items.

It is our goal to make your site content rich so a visitor becomes a customer.  Oftentimes we recommend providing information to your customer.  Think of how often someone talks about just themselves.  How long does this keep you in a conversation with that person?  For example real estate agents will post listings, even a featured listing on the homepage of their site, this shows a customer something of interest, something they are looking for. Make the site sticky! That’s our goal.

The average internet user uses a PC, uses Internet Explorer, and is looking for specific information.  They will wait at most 7 seconds before deciding if they are leaving or staying.  Taking this fact into consideration you want to provide them with information about your services, but catch their attention.  Some people post articles, some provide video, photographers keep new photos on the front page.  Why is someone going to stay on your page?  Together we help you do exactly this.

Fresh content is also suggested.  We have systems that allow our clients to update their site themselves, with training provide of course, putting you in control.  Our system allows you to upload your own media to a page.

Why should I use Social Media?

Google’s front page is very hard to get your site on today, unless you have money to spend.  At that how much a month can you afford?  We  believe if you have the finances do it, however utilize Facebook and Twitter it does help.  View this slideshow to understand the demographics of social media in order to understand why it is  key element in marketing today.

We will assist your company in getting set up on social networks as well as posting links to your social networks on your site.
